Nothing is more dangerous than trusting a defective voltage indicator to test for a dead circuit. Safe electrical work requires the use of a voltage indicator that has been proved with a proving unit before and after use.

Martindale VIPD Safety Kit includes both the VI13700/2 (500mA Fused) contact voltage indicator and the PD440 Proving Unit + TC57 Carry Case and it meets the Health and Safety GS 38 safety recommendation.

Before doing any electrical work it is essential to be absolutely certain the circuit is dead. This GS38 compliant voltage indicator rapidly and safely checks for AC and DC voltages from 50V to 400V. The bright, long life neon indicators give clear and immediate display of the voltage level range.

The new mark 2 model features True RMS, long lasting bright LEDs and a polarity test.

The tough, moulded case construction combined with heavy duty, double insulated leads which terminate in a lockable and retractable prod sheath and a substantial finger guard, make this a very reliable and safe instrument.

The return lead incorporates an HRC fuse which, together with the retractable test prods, ensures that the unit fully meets all the GS38, M15/4, HSE and EN61010 recommendations. Widely specified by training organisations, utilities and large contractors.
